Port of Patras participates in dialogue on the future of ports and shipping
The Chairman and CEO of Patras Port Authority S.A. (OLPA), Panagiotis G. Anastasopoulos, participated in the Posidonia 2026 international shipping exhibition, Greece’s leading maritime industry event, representing the organisation and highlighting the upgraded role of the Port of Patras in the evolving landscape of maritime transport, logistics and port development.
During the exhibition, Anastasopoulos held a series of high-level meetings with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy Vassilis Kikilias, and the President of the Union of Greek Shipowners Melina Travlou, as well as government officials, ambassadors, members of diplomatic missions, and senior representatives of the Greek and international shipping community.
Discussions focused on the strategic prospects of the Port of Patras as a key gateway between Greece, Western Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean, the strengthening of cargo flows, the further development of Ro-Ro and Ro-Pax connections, and the need to accelerate investment in green, digital and modern port infrastructure.
