Ltd. during the Posidonia 2026 International Maritime Exhibition.<\/h3>\n<p>The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation in the joint construction of surface vessels for the requirements of the Navy and Coast Guard, targeting opportunities across the European market. Present at the signing ceremony were Miltiadis Varvitsiotis, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Skaramangas Shipyards, Kim Jae Rak, Senior Vice President of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, Stefanos Gkikas, Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, and Ju-seong Lim, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Greece.<\/p>\n<h2>Just two years after the relaunch of Skaramangas Shipyards<\/h2>\n<p>In their joint statements, Varvitsiotis highlighted, among other points, \u201cthe significance of the strategic partnership between the world\u2019s largest shipyard and Greece\u2019s largest shipyard, as well as one of the largest in the Mediterranean, achieved just two years after the resumption of operations at Skaramangas Shipyards.\u201d He also expressed his sincere appreciation to the governments of Greece and the Republic of Korea, which \u201cfacilitated and actively supported this initiative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On\u00a0his part, Jae Rak noted that \u201cduring the early stages of Hyundai Heavy Industries\u2019 shipbuilding activities, the company was supported by Greek shipowners.
